Resource for a Bold 2019 Kickoff
The holiday decorations are put away (there are even Valentine’s decorations in the stores now!) and the New Year has kicked off. If you were busy with gift buying and wrapping, parties, and traveling and entertaining, did you get a chance to reflect on 2018?
Out of reflection comes new learning.
How would you answer these short questions?
What did I learn in 2018?
What did I do that I’m proud of?
Who did I help teach or mentor or develop?
What causes did I support that make a difference?
What will I learn and transform for 2019?
ANTICIPATE! WHAT DO YOU FORESEE FOR 2019?
Great planning for the future starts with different, bold strategic thinking and new questions. Traditional strategic planning in organizations generally means that the more of the same will be done in the same way. There are two significant strategies that are foundational. One is the improvement strategy. The other is the innovation strategy. Each requires different ways of thinking, different systems, language, and processes to succeed. Improving does not always ensure survival. To survive, great thinkers are anticipating a new future and innovating. They are considering new products, markets, value for new customers.
In my new book, PIVOT DISRUPT TRANSFORM, leaders can read about improving and innovating, and adding value and greater quality that will serve customers.
LEAD YOUR 2019 PLAN WITH NEW STRATEGIC THINKING!
For leaders who want to assess their thinking for the future and challenge “the way we’ve always done it,” I’m sharing a Chapter from my new book to help you plan, pivot, disrupt, and transform yourself and your organization.
Happy 2019!
