Your Journey
Sometimes I watch award programs... the Oscars most recently. Some of the messages and themes that reverberated for me were:
Dream
Tenacity
Never Give Up
Opportunities
Possibilities
Passion
Inspiring
Role Model
Celebrate
Gratitude
Champions
When people say No, Stay on Your Journey.
When people bully you, use your voice. Communicate your boundaries.
When people are barriers, go around them.
When people are exclusive rather than inclusive, reach out to help others.
When people are cliquish, build your own community full of care and love.
Live Your Journey—and NEVER Give Up!
Create your aim, your dream... and surround yourself with the people who support you in achieving it. Blaze your Path. YES! You can do it!
Use A Strategic Compass
as Your Guide
Aim: What do I want to Accomplish? Why is it important (measure your commitment)
Plan: How Will I Do it? (build community)
Values: what do I stand for that will make a difference?
Customers: Who am I serving?
Measures: What is progress and what is success?
Great leaders are open to new learning. Peter Winick and I had a great conversation on his podcast Leveraging Thought Leadership. We discussed why huge companies fail and disappear. Why old methods of motivation no longer work and how people often forget about their customers. Listen, and discover what you learn!
